Here’s something you would probably never guess – my mom doesn’t like being pampered. She makes it a point to look put together and poised, but she really doesn’t like getting pampered with facials or massages! Sometimes I wonder how she created such a beauty obsessed daughter.

Since crowded pampering events aren’t my mama’s thing, I flew solo to the 4th annual On the Go Beauty event sponsored by Joico Haircare and Voli Light Vodka at Thompson Hotel’s amazing rooftop pool. Located in Beverly Hills, it’s one of the chic-est rooftop pools ever! The view is simply breathtaking!

At the event party-goers were treated to yummy desserts by Sweet Lollicakes and Swurls Cupcakes and delish Bloody Mary’s made with Voli Ligt Vodka. Kids got to play in the Cuddle Covers corner, while adults got to make charmed bracelets with featuring their birthstones by Blessed Charms.

It wouldn’t be a beauty event without celebrity stylists and makeup artists present! I got my hair styled by Mika Fowler, the style director of Gavert Atelier (and if you’ve read my past posts, the gal who gave me my fab cut recently) and my makeup done by Geoffrey Rodriguez using NYX Cosmetics. I looked so fab and pretty, it was a shame that I didn’t go out afterwards.

I also spotted Romy of Romy Raves, one of the trendiest moms in LA sporting new hair extensions, and Jennifer Chan of The Fabulous File fresh from interviewing Emma Roberts.
